Exhibition | Oct 10, 2026 - Jan 7, 2027

“Estranged Landscape” is an installation designed specifically for a small 12’ x 12’ x 12’ gas station space in Glendale. Composed of lightweight reflective fabric, the piece is suspended by strategically placed strings to create voluminous, fluid shapes that continuously dissolve into new forms and surfaces—embodying a state of constant transformation. The ground is covered with fuzzy textiles, further blurring the line between familiar terrain and surreal topography. Cascading fabric volumes reshape the spatial experience, evoking an alien landscape where mountains and terrains feel both strange and sublime. At night, preset lighting in shifting colors adds a dreamlike quality, enriching the surreal atmosphere.

“Estranged Landscape” invites the viewer to rediscover the fleeting beauty of unexpected encounters—an urban intervention that transforms a the small gas station into a hidden treasure for the Glendale community. Intended to spark curiosity and inspire outdoor exploration, the installation creates a moment of wonder nestled within the everyday.
