La Cabine d'Ambre

Studio Koma is honored to participate in the reconstruction of this architectural classic as a new-generation design practice. Respecting the original spirit of the building, the project reinterprets it through a contemporary lens. This is not only a continuation of design, but a dialogue across time.

Originally designed in 1961 by architect Gordon Stice, this residence is a highly representative example of Mid-Century Modern architecture. Nestled among mature trees, the house achieves a delicate balance between modern elegance and natural serenity, embracing expansive views of the canyon and surrounding mountains to create a quiet and refined retreat within the city.

We look forward to seeing it unfold once again through light, shadow, and structure.
